This is baby #2 for this wonderful family! I had the pleasure of photographing baby boy #1 as he grew through his first year and I am looking forward to watching this adorable baby change into a little boy as well.

This beautiful baby was a little older than I normally shoot ‘newborns’ but she rocked her session and we got some gorgeous images. I love that she kept giving little grins, and when she was wide awake she was very calm and gave the best eye contact.

This precious boy slept so soundly during his first photo shoot. My favorite images are of the brothers together. But I also love the vintage feel we kept throughout this session.

I always enjoy working with high school seniors. It is a nice change to have my subject want(usually) to cooperate. I am, of course, comparing this to working with toddlers. 🙂 Jessica is a beauty and a wonderful soul. Her portraits are some of my favorite.

This sweet girl is turning one year old in just a few weeks, and to celebrate she ate a cake… one teeny tiny fingertip at a time.
But once she noticed her toes had been attacked by frosting, she decided to embrace the messiness.
After all, if you can pull off covered-in-frosting-and-still-cute then you might as well go for it.
If you would like to book your cake smash birthday session, email firstname.lastname@example.org today! I look forward to working with you.
I can’t begin to tell you how OVER THE MOON excited I am about this new prop! It is something I have been wanting for a while, but I couldn’t bring myself to splurge on such a large expense. So, on Valentine’s Day my wonderful husband surprised me by building this adorable prop.
I have even ordered a couple new backdrops to specifically go with this darling moon. But I was so anxious to try it out I couldn’t wait the 5 days for them to arrive.
Although this prop is meant for newborns, I have my 8 month old modeling it. It will be just darling with a brand new baby, and I can’t wait to use it! Who is going to be the lucky one to use it first???
If you are expecting, e-mail email@example.com to be added to my maternity list so your newborn spot is saved!
With as much time as I spend working on the computer I usually consider myself fairly tech savvy. But when my 5 year old asked what a blog was, I was stumped. I mean, I have read blogs, and I felt like I had an understanding of what they were, but to try to explain it…. like I said, stumped. Her next question was why didn’t I have a blog. My initial response was because I already had a website… but what makes a blog and a website different??? So, due to my 5 year old’s curiosity, and my lack of understanding, I have created a blog. My hope is to share more of my sessions, rather than just a single shot or two like I do on Facebook.
If you are a fan of my photography, I would appreciate you spreading the name of Sugar Coated Images. I love my clients and getting the chance to work with each of their friends and family is the best. I have yet to meet a family that I haven’t had a blast working with. You are all amazing and make what I do worth it. So, thank you!!
